Welcome to the Kansas Pharmacists Association
 |
The Kansas Pharmacists Association was founded in 1880 and is one of the oldest statewide professional associations of pharmacists in the country. We have a long and proud history of representing pharmacists of all practice settings in Kansas. Our close ties to the KU School of Pharmacy and The Kansas State Board of Pharmacy allow us to anticipate challanges, embrace new technologies and take action as a team to meet challenges of the 21st century.

132nd Annual Conference & Tradeshow - Sponsorship & Exhibitor Opportunities

|
132nd Annual Conference & Tradeshow: September 27-30, 2012
The pharmacy profession is always changing, and changing rapidly. This year, to help pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and affiliates cope with these changes – new technology, new drugs, new treatments, new regulations, new generation of employees – the Kansas Pharmacists Association has decided to do things a little differently. We’re taking everyone back to campus, literally.
This year’s conference is split between two locations, the Oread Hotel and the KU School of Pharmacy. It kicks-off on Thursday, Sept. 27, with a golf scramble benefiting the Kansas Pharmacy Foundation at Alvamar Country Club and an invitation-only President’s Reception on the 9th floor terrace of the Oread Hotel. It continues Friday with continuing education plenary sessions - including a keynote from author, media analyst, and watchdog, Wendell Potter - a tradeshow, a wine tasting, and a hospitality suite. On Saturday, the conference moves to the KU School of Pharmacy for a full day of breakout sessions and the annual meeting and awards ceremony. Saturday concludes with a gala celebration, silent auction, and hospitality suite. The conference wraps up on Sunday with a plated breakfast and three final plenary sessions.
Nearly 250 pharmacy professions are expected to attend this year’s conference. Attendees can expect sessions that will cover topics such as business profitability, medication therapy management, collaborative care, changes in Medicaid/Medicare specific to Kansas, hyponatremia, and many more.
