Serving the association

KPhA is a volunteer member-led organization, and its Board of Directors is responsible for being the primary leaders of the association who provide direction and act as KPhA's liaisons to its members. Academy leaders are elected every other year - some positions in odd years, others in even years.

Position Term Process
President 1 year Appointed from President-Elect
President-Elect 1 year Elected yearly; must have served on the board for at least one (1) year.
Past-President 1 year Serves one (1) year following term as president.
Treasurer 3 years Elected every third year (next 2026)
Community Academy 2 years Elected in odd years.
Health Systems Academy 2 years Elected in odd years.
Managed Care Academy 2 years Elected in odd years.
Owners Academy 2 years Elected in even years.
At-Large 1 Director 2 years Elected in odd years.
At-Large 2 Director 2 years Elected in even years.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the KPhA Board of Directors, please complete the application form and submit it to the KPhA office by May 1. You may nominate yourself or someone else. After completing the nomination form, please email a copy of your (or the nominee's) CV/resume and a high-resolution photo to jen@ksrx.org.
