Mandy Czechanski takes helm Nov. 17

The KPhA Board of Directors is pleased to announce they've hired Mandy Czechanski to be the next executive director of the association. She begins her tenure on Nov. 17.

"Mandy's background in education and her experience with grants and financial management are a great fit for our association," said KPhA President Sandie Kueker.

A native Topekan, Czechanski has spent nearly a decade as a leader in the nonprofit space, most recently as the executive director of Prevention and Resiliency Services (PARS) in Topeka. PARS provides early intervention and prevention strategies for substance abuse that empower youth and families to make informed decisions and decrease substance use.

"I am truly honored to serve as the new Executive Director of the Kansas Pharmacists Association," Czechanski said. "I sincerely look forward to getting to know our members, learn from your experiences, and work together to advance and celebrate the pharmacy profession across Kansas."

President Sandie Kueker led the search committee for a replacement and in April Carrie Riordan stepped in as interim executive director during the leadership transition.

"We're confident Mandy is the right person to lead KPhA into our next chapter of serving Kansas pharmacists," Kueker said. "She is enthusiastic about our mission and the role pharmacists play in keeping the citizens of our state healthy, and we're excited to see where we go under her leadership."
